The Versatility and Hard Wearing of Rubber Flooring Tiles

script>
Vulcanised rubber as a hard wearing, high performance and soft underfoot alternative to vinyl and as a synthetic choice for flooring is well worth looking at. This style interestingly and one that I have never previously considered due to its cognitive association with industry, factories and pollution is high very quality and relatively cheap!

You see, rubber is an excellent choice for a number of reasons and to dismiss all misinformation rubber can be used in its purest form. However, the predominant and current style used for floors is either synthetic or it has been recycled which is a positive from an environmental point of view.

The synthetic form used predominantly for flooring comes from moulded vulcanised rubber and is made up of a variety of products mixed together such as silica, china clay and various pigments for coloration and is highly resistant to chemical, moisture, fats and any other type of spillages which are known to damage expensive flooring.

Rubber gym flooring is high popular in industry as well as leisure Centres especially in the weight lifting areas for protection as well as swimming pool/spa areas for guarding against wet surfaces as well as providing protection for the feet. However, rubber can be slippery when wet so a studded, non-slip version with dimples and non-slip textures are used for these damp high traffic areas.

So why is rubber good for the home? It is estimated that this type of flooring can last for over 25 years, is excellent for insulation, very warm in the Winter, is highly resistant to wear and tear and comes in an amazing variety of colors and textures such as mica, studded or smooth. This can then be the ideal protection for areas like the kitchen and bathroom and with a range of bright.

Uplifting colors can lift the atmosphere of the dullest of rooms in the house such as a basement, laundry room, playrooms, garages and even outdoor sheds. Additionally rubber has been well known for its versatility and is fairly easy to lay down as the tiles are interlocking. With that being said a number of patterns, colors and styles can be used for different rooms with stunning effect. Add to Technorati Favorites Bookmark and Share
